Services

The therapists at APC specialize in marriage counseling, family therapy, teens, children, grief and loss, anger management, depression, and other mental health issues. The services at APC include individual, couples, family, and group counseling.

APC provides caring, professional psychotherapy and counseling in a relationship of trust and respect. The basis of our practice is an integral model; we see each person as essentially whole and include all aspects of the person in the healing process.

In addition, APC functions as a network that not only provides a broad range of counseling services but also serves as an intermediary to help those in need obtain the best help and services offered by other health care professionals. We focus on getting people in need or crisis the optimum help.

Depression or Anxiety

These are the two most common general issues our clients present. Mood problems can seriously interfere with sleep, interpersonal relationships, physical health and well-being, concentration, and motivation. Counseling can help identify, clarify, and often even simplify problematic thoughts and feelings.

Adolescents/Teenagers

Got teenagers? It is amazing how they can be responsible in one moment and then seem brainless in the next. Why? The human brain does not finish developing until age 22. In addition, there are many pressures for a teenager today. We are seeing more anxiety, depression, self-injury, anger, acting out, and addictive behavior than ever before. Often, teens don’t want to listen to you, or they don’t feel that you know how to help. This is where we can help.

Grief Counseling

What do you do when you lose someone you love? Whether a death is sudden or anticipated, losing someone is never easy. Often the hardest part comes after the funeral when everyone else returns to their normal lives and you experience isolation and loneliness as you continue to grieve. With compassion and understanding, we will walk with you through the painful stages of grief.

Co-Dependence

If you are co-dependent or think you may have some tendencies, there is help. Your family and/or relationship will become a team, not a burden. You will become less resentful and be able to be yourself.

Anger Management

Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. And it can make you feel as though you're at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion. We can help you understand and control your anger.

Marriage and Family

Counseling works with families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development. It tends to view change in terms of the systems of interaction between family members. It emphasizes family relationships as an important factor in psychological health.
